How do i add cell values that are returned via a formula

I am then using the formula =IF(T1=5,"0","5") to return a value of 0 or 5 credits. I would then like to add those cells up to give a total of credits. However apparently normal "sum" does not work, even though the value that is displayed in the cell is a number. (5 or 0). HELP??? |
