Hi , IŽd like to know how to solve the following problem, I have a
column of numbers and I want to multiply each number in the column by a constant, for example 2. And get the result in the same place as the previous numbers. Thanks for your help |

Stick 2 in an unused cell.

One simple way is to copy your constant down all the rows in the column next
to your values, then copy a formula of constant cell times value cell in the next column, then copy the results and paste them over the values. WHEN YOU PASTE, USE PASTE SPE;CIAL and then only paste values. This way they will replace the original values. Personally, I would consider copying the original values into another column so that they are still available afterwards in case you need them. If this procedure is going to be done over and over again, you can also make a short macro to do it automatically.
