We moved all of our excel files from a peer to peer server to a shared
network drive. The drive is mapped to all of us as the "P" drive. We can all open files fine. However, when you go to save the file, you get the following: The file xxx.xls may have been changed by another user since you last saved it. In that case what do you want to do? How do you get this to stop coming up? Thanks so much. |

Have a look at this KB Article "The file may have been changed..." error when you save workbook to network server in Excel 2002 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=324491 Myrna Larson also reported that she got this error when opening a workspace (*.xlw) file. Opening the workbooks individually solved the problem.
