Default errors in Excel 2003

I designed a worksheet using Excel 2003, then made some modifications on a
machine that had Excel 2000 on it. Now the file will only run on the machine
with Excel 2000 and will not run on any machine with Excel 2002 or 2003. I
get the error

'Can't exit design mode as cmdShowForm cannot be created.'

Even when I go in and delete and replace the command button, it just gives
another error, and when you clear that one, another..........

Not always the same error, sometimes Runtime error 1004, other times Runtime
error 75 could not find the specified object.

I assume it is because Excel 2003 uses Microsoft Office 11.0 Object Library
and 2000 uses 9.0 Library, but is there any way that I can recover the file?
