Default Expanding field

Please pardon my ignorance of some of the jargon...I'm trying to create an
area in a sheet that will expand with the amount of data I put in it without
affecting prior or subsequent data/text. Any help would be appreciated!

Default Expanding field

You can try this.
Click Format
Column or Row (whichever you wish)
AutoFit Selection
