Default &[saved date] for headers in outlook applications

I use &[saved date] in MS Project and find it to be much more meaningful than
&[date]. Is this variable field available in MS Excell or MS Word for use in
headers and footers? Can it be used elsewhere in text? THank you!

I am using Office 2002
