Default importing into excel

I have a file in word that has tables in one of the cells it will say
something like

Blazer, Downsize, 4 door
(excl. Trailblazer)

in this format top and bottom but it is in one cell when I copy and past
this into excel it puts the top text into cell 1 and the bottom text into
cell 2
1 Blazer, Downsize, 4 door
2 (excl. Trailblazer)

how can I past or import so that the top and bottom text stay in the same
cell?

Make sure you have no extra paragraph marks, tabs, manual line breaks,
in any cell, (they need to be removed for the paste to work correctly).
You can do a find and replace in Word - In REPLACE window - select the
MORE - SPECIAL tab and then select each of the above 1 at a time and
then in the REPLACE box - just hit the space bar 1 time and this will
give you a space.
You have to have "show non-printing" characters turn on in WORD to see
where the various above listed marks are located.
You can also select your table and do a TABLE - TABLE TO TEXT - then
select TAB DELIMITED and convert the table to text - and then reconvert
the document back to a table - and this will show you how it will appear
when pasted into EXCEL.
You can try the above with one cell in WORD - in the cell enter some
text - then a paragarph return and then some more text (in the same
cell) and then paste the cell into EXCEL.
