I have a worksheet where i would like to freeze a section e.g B1: M7 so
wherever i scroll in the worksheet this remains visible. In addition to this i would like to freeze column A as per normal freeze of a split window |

Position the cursor in cell B2 and click Window | Freeze Pane. This
will give you what you want - the top row and column A will always be visible as you move around the sheet. Hope this helps. Pete |

Thanks but does not solve the problem freezing column A is fine but does not solve the issue of freezing B1: M7 as well i think it is quite hard to decribe what i need. Sorry, I mis-read your post - I thought you wanted B1:M1.
Go to Window | Unfreeze Panes, then position cursor in B8 and Window | Freeze Panes. This will now show the top 7 rows as you scroll around. Hope this helps. Pete |
