![]() Hi all, I have a Bar Chart with a scale at the bottom, and list of part numbers along the left hand side......how do I go about adding the same scale to the top of the chart as the bottom of it? The correct term is Axis.
For a secondary axis you need more than one data series. This we can fake by using duplicate data Suppose your part numbers are in A1:A10 and the data is in B1:B10 In C1 enter =B1 and copy down to C10. Now you have duplicate data. Make a chart of A1:C10 (use the first subtype with bars side by side) Right click on bar in the chart and use Format Data Series On the Axis tab, check the Secondary Axis box Now the two series are on top of each other (one is hidden) If you use a legend, you will see you have two entries. You will need to carefully delete one. Make use you select the pattern and the text before hitting the delete key. best wishes -- Bernard V Liengme www.stfx.ca/people/bliengme remove caps from email "gti_jobert" wrote in message ...
