Default Embedded objects

I want to embed an excel spreadsheet in a word document. Is there a way
to limit the spreadsheet to the cells I want (as you would if you set
the print area) so that when the spreadsheet is viewed in the word
document the user cannot scroll down hundereds of blank rows?
