You didn't tell us what version of Excel you are trying to use, Phyllis. If
you are trying to use Excel 2007, it is always wise to say so, as it has many differences from the earlier versions of Excel which many of the experienced users here are still using. The message to which you are replying was dated 21 Mar 2006, and I'm sure that RagDyer will have been referring to Excel 2003 or earlier (as Excel 2007 hadn't been released by then). If you want some hints on finding the equivalent of Excel 2003 instructions in Excel 2007, try: Some hints on 2003 to 2007 command mapping: a.. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...491511033.aspx b.. http://www.rondebruin.nl/0307commands.htm c.. http://www.computerworld.com/action/...leId=9028 218 -- David Biddulph "Phyllis" wrote in message ... I have to open excel & use the open command & open all excel files this way only. How can I set up excel to allow me to just double click the file no matter where it is located to get the file to open. All I get now is a blank Excel screen! Thanks |
