Help organizing data using Pivot Table
I have a table of 20,000 rows of employee training data. All of the columns
contain text or dates. The columns are (1) employee name (2) course name (3) course status. The table includes enrollment data for only 12 courses. I want to pivot the data so that employee names are rows along the left side of the sheet, course names are columns along the top of the sheet, and course status is shown in each employee/course intersection so I can see an employee's status for each of the twelve courses. Pivot tables only allow me to summarize fields placed in the data section. Is there a way (using a custom formula or something) to show just the raw data in the data section instead of having it perform a sum function? If not, is there anyother way to accomplish what I am trying to do? Thanks for any help - Branden |
