Maximum Value in column

Hi, yes, sorry took so long to reply. guesse errors would need to take into
account cells that have header lines with text, (need to do numbers only?)

Tried: =IF(ISNUMBER(BI100:BI3000),MAX(BI100:BI3000))
but not quite there yet
