I just repartitioned my hard drive and moved my data and files to a new
location. I was able, through TOOLS OPTIONS, to redirect my file locations in MS Word, but not in Excel. I can open Excel files in the new location, but I cannot access any of the tabs in OPTIONS. How can I change the default file location as displayed in OPTIONS? |

Do you recall the drive/folder name that used to contain your files?
If yes, then you could (temporarily) recreate that folder. Then open excel and see if you can change that location in Tools|options. After you're done, you could delete that dummy folder. ==== If that doesn't work, how about this? Open excel hit alt-f11 to get to the VBE (where macros live) hit ctrl-g to see the immediate window type this and hit enter: application.DefaultFilePath = "C:\" Then use tools|options|general tab to point to where you really want it. If you're careful, you could just specify that complete path in this line: application.DefaultFilePath = "C:\Myfolder1\myfolder2\myfolder3" (adjust to match what you want.)
