Default Program for assigning work shift hours

Hi
I'm new
I was wondering if there is a template or example I could get from the
net for a excel project I am using.
My wife has 7 operators that work various shifts thru 7 days and 24
hours.
The shifts are constantly being changed. And being juggled around.
I was thinking if I could make a program where whe just has to click
and drag along 9 hundred to 16 hundred hours and that shift was aloted
to a specific person and the progam also added the total hours worked
for 2 weeks.
I was playing around and made a program that added the peoples hours
together but I have to input all the hours in a 24 hour format each day
with a in and out time.
My wife sometimes works for hours of days on a schedule onlyu to find
it does not work so she has to make a new one.
I thought tonite that there is likely a program out there already.
I just wanted to see a program so I could get some ideas on how to do
it.
Thank you

There is really nothing in excel that makes it suitable for tasks like this,
however it can be programmed

look at work schedule, haven't tested it myself
