![]() Hi there, this may be a silly question but I have a large sheet with data and I want to be able to plot or calculate someting (for instance the average) to each subset subsequently. I know how to use an autofilter, so what I would LIKE is something like this: I have 1 sheet with all data where I use an Autofilter to select a name of a person. On another sheet in the same workbook I would like the average of some data FOR THAT person to appear. Or, in other words, I would like to define a range that always refers to the first 10 rows on a sheet, independent on the filter setting, so when you change the filter it points to different data. Another question that may be solved if I know how to do the things mentioned above is that I want to make a single plot for every person in the sheet but I do not want to define 250 plots. So there must be a way to automate this? Hi
Have you tried using a pivot table? This is the ideal way to summarise data. You'll find an intro he http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Pivots/pivottables.htm Andy. "bvandijk" wrote in message ...
