Default Why Excel 2003 is so slow on keyboard kursor inputs?

I have used "old" Excel a lot. It worked fine. Now I have unfortunately
"upgraded" to Office 2003 and it is real pain moving cursor from one cell to
another. The computer seems to "think" a lot before switching one active cell
to next. Why is it so and how to solve the problem? Why it takes the simple
task of moving selections on the screen by keyboard cursor so slow? Please
return me the agility of Excel 2000.
