An Arial Problem

Default A bug that effects font size display in Excel 2000??

Hi,

I hope someone is able to help me. I've done considerable work on a large
Excel file that has had a lot of formatting done to it. The view of
everything in the file that was formatted in Arial size 11 has gone haywire.
It looks like a really huge sized font that can't fit in the cells properly,
yet the the size of it showing in the size box still says it's size 11.
Changing it all to Tahmoma seems to temporarily fix it, but then after a
while the same thing happens. Then I change it back to Arial and that fixes
it for a little while, and then I'm back to square one again.

It only appears this way on the screen though, and it prints alright. It
also seems ok when people view it in Excel 2003. I'm using Excel 2000.

Can anyone please shed some light on this?

Thank you.

75%. We took the advice of our IT Help desk who suggested changing it to
100%- which we did, and that also solves it. But I don't understand why it
only does it with this particular file and not others that also have a
variety of different sized fonts.
