Default 2273 becomes 22.73 etc. How do i fix it?

Whenever i enter a number into a cell, it gets decimalised, i.e 2273 becomes
22.73 or 1 becomes 00.1. If i enter 2273.00 then the cell shows 2273 or if i
enter 1.00 it will show 1. I have tried to format the cells but to no avail.
Help!!

Menu ToolsOptions and go to the Edit tab.

See if the Fixed Decimal box is checked, if so uncheck it.
