Default Filtering and Totals

I am using excel 2000

I have a spreadsheet with 21 columns and 200 rows of data in row 201
are totals for columns 14 to 19

Column A contains names of Area Managers of which there are 10

If I filter on column A the totals in row 201 are hidden,

is it possible to filter and either still have the totals showing or
for the totals to reflect just the data showing as a result of the
filter

I've tried adding subtotals, but again when I filter the totals
disappear

Any help greatly appreciated

Default Filtering and Totals

I use a "Freeze line" say at row 8, and put my formula ABOVE that line, to
total a column, and use the SUBTOTAL function as it ignores hidden rows.

Default Filtering and Totals

Are you wanting to see all of the data in the rows that relates to the Area
Managers or just the totals? Could you perhaps use a Pivot Table to filter
out the data you want?
