I have a huge .Dat file which i need to convert in to .xls. I opend with
excel and did fixed length, but i do not whats the correct data that goes in
to one cell as In dat file all the fields are very close to eachother. any
help?

The data may be separated by commas or other characters. Very carefully and
clearly post a sample from JUST ONE LINE here so we can see it.

All the above is just from one line. The back slashes confuse me cuz im not
able to tell how many /'s goes in to one cell and even in this case: 'ENY / '
i dunno if eny and / goes in two seerate cells or just one. i appreciate your

You posted the "title" line. Do the actual records also have those multiple
slashes?
