Updating whole worksheet
I have a worksheet consisting of pay scales for a city. All rates are to be
increased 3%. Is there a way to select all the cells and update each cell by 3% all at once? Thanks, Randy |

Randy
put 1.03 in a "spare" cell somewhere on the sheet. Copy that cell. Now select all the cells you want to update. Select Edit | Paste Special... | Operation = Multiply Regards Trevor "WCDoan" wrote in message ... I have a worksheet consisting of pay scales for a city. All rates are to be increased 3%. Updating whole worksheet
In an empty cell enter 0.3, copy that, select the range you need to uplift,
right click the range, click 'Paste Special', check 'Multiply', OK, Regards, Alan. "WCDoan" wrote in message ... I have a worksheet consisting of pay scales for a city. All rates are to be increased 3%. Is there a way to select all the cells and update each cell by 3% all at once? Thanks, Randy |

Thanks for the feedback. Forgot to say - then you can delete the 1.03 as
you don't need it any more. Regards Trevor "WCDoan" wrote in message ... Thanks so much. Worked like a charm.
