I have a worksheet consisting of pay scales for a city. All rates are to be
increased 3%. Is there a way to select all the cells and update each cell by 3% all at once? Thanks, Randy |

put 1.03 in a "spare" cell somewhere on the sheet. Copy that cell. Now select all the cells you want to update. Select Edit | Paste Special... | Operation = Multiply Regards Trevor "WCDoan" wrote in message ... I have a worksheet consisting of pay scales for a city. All rates are to be increased 3%. In an empty cell enter 0.3, copy that, select the range you need to uplift,
right click the range, click 'Paste Special', check 'Multiply', OK, Regards, Alan. "WCDoan" wrote in message ... I have a worksheet consisting of pay scales for a city. All rates are to be increased 3%. Is there a way to select all the cells and update each cell by 3% all at once? Thanks, Randy |

Thanks for the feedback. Forgot to say - then you can delete the 1.03 as
you don't need it any more. Regards Trevor "WCDoan" wrote in message ... Thanks so much. Worked like a charm.
