Excel changes figures automatically
I am using MS Excel 2002, but of recent when i enter a figure (number) it either cuts it or changes to decimal points automatically. Example: When I enter 7000000 changes it to 7000, when I enter 4020 changes it to 4.20 and when I enter 23% changes to 350%. Tools|Options|edit tab
uncheck Fixed Decimal places This is used when someone wants to do a lot of data entry, but doesn't want to type the decimal point. Solution: Tools | Options; open Edit tab; uncheck Fixed Decimal
