Default lock column width

Is it possible to lock a column width from other users but still allow them
to type in the cells?

Sure. Format the cells so they're UNlocked. Then, protect the sheet (Tools,
Protect, etc). If your main concern is klutzes who changes things
accidentally and then say "Duhh.....nah....I didn't touch nuthin'...honest",
you don't need to password protect the sheet - just use the protect thing,
and don't enter a password. Users like that never find their way that deep
into the menus.
