Default Linked cells

Hi
I am trying to link values between 2 worksheets. I have to pick up several
cells and repeat the value in another cell in another worksheet. I have data
in, for example cells A3 to Z3 in a spreadsheet which needs to be picked up
in another workbook area. I am sure there is a way of setting an absolute
formula so that when I drag the formula down it shows =BREAKDOWN!A3,
=BREAKDOWN!B3,=BREAKDOWN!C3 ETC and not =BREAKDOWN!A3, =BREAKDOWN!A4,
=BREAKDOWN!A5. No matter where I put the $ it does not work. Anybody any
ideas please.
Thank you very much. S

you wont get sheet2!$A$3,sheet2!$B$3 etc by dragging down, dont you mean
across???
you need to make each formula absolute then do a copy then paste special, and
tick the transpose box.Your source range and destination range cannot
overlap, perhaps you could then delete the original range and cut the newly
transposed range up a cell or two

Default Linked cells

Hi Paul
Thank you for your help. I think I need to clarify the problem.
The cells that I want to link go across in rows and the cells that I want to
link to go down in columns. As follows:
In the columns below each other i need:
=Breakdown!G27
=Breakdown!H27
=Breakdown!I27
Picked up from rows in worksheet going across the columns

It takes me forever to keep going = then moving to the cell in the 2nd
worlshhet and returning on that cell. Ideally, I would like to drag down,
the first formula and have it replicated on each following column cell. I
am not brilliant at explainming.
Data is held in columns G:AN in various rows ie 27, 54, 100 (Jan - Dec) etc.
This need to be picked up in the other sheet in columns C-N (Jan-Dec).
Over to you!!

Regards.
S
