What formula can I make or choose to have cell with text in it show up in
another cell automatically? What I'm trying to say is I have a spreadsheet with a filter on for the data I want to pull. Now in another cell (that is blank) I want the data that is being filtered to be displayed in the blank cell (all text Example: Meadowlands). You know when you do auto filter and select certain data. I just want the blank cell to have the selected data (just in the cell) from the filter. I don't know if this makes any sense, but I am going crazy trying to figure this out. Thank you in advance for any help. |

The most basic way of making one cell show the contents of another is simply to type a formula like this: =B7 ....where B7 contains the data, and the formula is placed in the cell where you want to mirror B7's contents. I don't use filtering, so I can't say whether this will work for you, but it's a starting point. |

You're welcome! By the way, the Excel help system is pretty good for
learning these things. Press F1 - voila! Sometimes it thinks you want help with a specific chore, so it takes you to that part of the help system, but it's easy to get to the very beginning.
