Default excel 02 always asks "save changes?" when closing unaltered file

After opening an existing Excel file, a popup window asks if I want to save
changes, even though nothing was changed.

There may not have been any manual changes, but it is likely that some sort
of change did occur. Commonly this may be from the use of the NOW() or
TODAY() functions. These update automatically to new values when the
worksheet is opened, thus, there has been a change.
