Default Restore superscript and subscript buttons in Excel toolbars

In previous versions of excel it was possible to put a button on the
formating toolbar for superscipting or subscripting text.

This function seems to have disappeared in Excel 2003.

This is very handy for exponents etc in titles of excel columns. I can
understand this not being on the default toolbar, but why remove it from the
optional buttons available for use.
