Default formula containing text


=A1*B1
A1 contains "bla bla $15.75"....B1 contains "20"
I need the "bla bla" ignored and the answer of $15.75*20

Try this formula in C1:

=VALUE(RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-FIND("$",A1))) * B1

Format as currency with 2 dp and copy down as necessary. Assumes you
will always have a $ before the numbers.
