Default Copying Data into Column with Existing Data

Request help on copying data (in multiple non-consecutive rows) into a
worksheet column without overwriting existing data in the column. Have
multiple resources inputting into copies of the same spreadhseet.
Need to compile the inputs once all data is received.
Looking for automated way to copy the data into the single column without
overwriting data that already exists.
i.e. is there a way to run a copy/paste macro from an IF function?
