Default Saving changes in shared workbooks

Hi, I have a shared workbook that I've been using for years with 4 - 5 users
being able to use and update concurrently. All of a sudden we're experiencing
problems when we try to save changes if there's more than one current user on
the file. Permissions seem ok. Users can save if they alone have opened the
file. When more than one person is on we get errors like 'Excel cannot
complete this task with available resources. Choose less data or close other
applications.' Interestingly enough I have no other applications running and
I've got 512MB RAM on a 3.6MB file. The file is not read only when opened by
more than one user.

Any suggestions.

Check Help in vb Editor
There is a reference to UpdateChanges. I cannot remember specifics.
