i'm trying to make a pivot table from accounting journal entries. a window
pops-up when i click finish saying the field name is not valid. i'm using excel 2003. |

You probably have a blank column header in your selection.

thank u for the reply, i had column headers, the problem was i had unused or
blank cells in my rows, if you've journalized before you know what i mean. for the accounts you have to stretch one row out to fit all the data, rather than just one cell overflowing to the next on some accounts. hopefully this will help you if this question is asked again. : - ) thanks again |
