Default "outline active cell differently than other cells"

My co-worker would like to know if there is away to have the cell you are
working in standout more so that if you get distracted when you go back you
do not have to search for your spot in Excel. In word you format the font
for text effects, that highlights the text. We were wondering if there is
something similar in Excel. Thank you

Hit the Fill tool (looks like a paint can with a tilt)?
