Why does my excel file have an extension reading ".xls:1"?
I took some work home and worked on an excel file ( an older version of
excel) and when I saved the file at home the characters :1 were added to the extension. Can I get rid of them? |

The :x indicates that the workbook has more than one window open
(Window/New Window). Close the windows until only one remains. In article , "Steve Irmin" <Steve wrote: I took some work home and worked on an excel file ( an older version of excel) and when I saved the file at home the characters :1 were added to the extension. Can I get rid of them? |
