Default Why when I enter 1234 do I see 12.34 in Excel ?

My cat stood on my keyboard and now all the numbers I input seem to be
divided by 100 when entered. If I add a decimal point it is entered
correctly, but is frustrating.

Toolsoptionsedit and uncheck fixed decimal places
