Default Unable to read error in a pivot table

Hello all
i don't know if i'll be able to get help with this one or not but I have a
person in accounting who says when trying to do a pivot table in Excel she
gets "unable to read" we have swapped computers we have uninstalled and
re-installed 2000 and then un-installed 2000 and put 2003 on the machine.
The person has tried re-creating the whole thing from scratch but still gets
the same message. Do you think this has anything to do with where the data
is coming from?

any help would be appreciated

thanks
