Is it possible to split colum cells? (Ex. A B C1 C2 D E F)

Not really.

You might be able to get what you want by merging C:D in some rows and keeping
them unmerged in others.

But merging cells has its own problems--sorting, filtering...

I do my best not to merge anything.
