Default deposit tickets

Try something like this:

in the first column type:
=IF(ISERROR(SMALL(Sheet1!$A$1:$A$10,ROW(1:1))),"", SMALL(Sheet1!$A$1:$A$10,ROW(1:1)))
to get the check #

then in the next column:
=IF(A1="","",INDEX(Sheet1!$B$1:$B$10,MATCH(A1,Shee t1!$A$1:$A$10,0)))
to get the matching amount

select both cells and copy down as far as needed.
