Default Adobe Acrobat isn't available in office apps!

I bought the full version of adobe acrobat 7.0 It doesn't show up as an
option in office apps. I have tried the "detect and repair' option in
acrobat, etc. No luck! Any ideas! I desperately need to make pdf's from Excel
files!

File - Print - change the driver to Adobe PDF.

Open an "WORD" document and go to print and in the printer dropdown
selection see if Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Distiller shows up as a
printer. If not then you might have to install ACROBAT DISTILLER. I
have only worked extensively with 5.0 and 6.0. If DISTILLER is not a
printer option then you need to install it. Also with 5.0 and 6.0 Adobe
will put a PDF icon on the menu bar. You should be able to go to VIEW -
TOOLBARS and see the pdf icon. If you have DISTILLER installed - you
should be able to print directly to pdf, however - sometimes it doesn't
always look so good. Another option is to print the document to a "file"
and then convert it to pdf. If you use this method - in the PRINT
screen, select DISTILLER as your printer, check the "PRINT TO FILE"
box and in the "FILE NAME AREA" enter a file name - and there will be a
default file name extension of ".prn" you will need to change the file
name from XXX.prn to XXX.ps. The file name "extension" of ".ps" is
what Distiller recognizes. You might have to turn on the "VIEW
EXTENSIONS" in Windows to be sure you have ".ps" as the extension and
not ".ps.prn." You might also get an error message of "you must send
printer fonts when using this method" or something like it - at least
in 5.0 and 6.0 you do. In the print screen under printer options or by
the distiller options click on it and there will be a "CHECK BOX" which
says "DONT SEND FONTS" you just need to find this box and UNCHECK IT.
Probably more information than you want. There is a pretty good website
called www.planet.pdf

See http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/330984.html "PDFMaker
is unavailable in a Microsoft Office application (Acrobat 7.0 on
Windows)".

Thanks everyone. I knew about the 'print' option but thought it should also
put an icon on the toolbar. I guess with acrobat 7.0 it just doesn't put it
there or even make it available as a toolbar option anymore. Not in my case
anyway. I'll check the adobe link too!

It does (I have Pro v7 and I have the icons) but one way works as well as
the other.
