how do i search for a specific name in an excel file
i have a large file, (49,000+ names) is it possible to search for a specific
name somehow without scrolling up and down the list repeatedly looking for it? |

Hit CTRL+F to open the find window, and in Look in: select Values. Did you try Edit Find ?

I've tried both suggestions that were posted, but it didn't help. any other
