Default Is there anyway to add more than the preset 265 columns in Excel?

I am currently out of columns on my Excel Spreadsheet and need more!!! I
would just start a new worksheet but my page is filled with formulas that i
have updating automatically as data is entered and can't figure out a way for
the information to automatically update onto another page properly because of
the way the sheet is set up...it is a huge spreadsheet and if i transpose it
I lose a lot of formulas.....help!!

No. The spreadsheet only goes to IV. There is no way to add more.

Hi Carla,

I am currently out of columns on my Excel Spreadsheet and need more!!

You will have to wait for the release of Excel 12, which will have
16384 columns. Until then (fall next year), you are stuck with 255
columns and will have to find a way to reorganise your data. Maybe
transposing rows and columns is the way to go after all?

Thank you!
However, when i transpose my data, i run into the same problem the other
way...not enough columns......:( I guess I will keep plugging away, trying
to figure out a way to make it work!!

The upcoming version,Excel 12, will solve this. Look at this article:
http://blogs.msdn.com/excel/archive/...23/473185.aspx

To quote the article, Excel 12 will have "1,048,576 rows by 16,384
columns. That's 1,500% more rows and 6,300% more columns than in
Excel 2003, and for those of you that are curious, columns now end at
XFD instead of IV."

I'm not sure when its going to be released but you can already download
beta versions if you are curious... seek and you shall find.
