Resizing cells when importing data from the clipboard
Hi, It is a litle wearisome when copying data from a web table or word table via the clipboard into Excel to then have to resize every column to make the data fit the cells. Is there a way to force Excel to resize columns to the width of the widest data? Resizing cells when importing data from the clipboard
select the columns and do Format=Columns=Auto Fit Selection
or after selection double click on the border in the header (when your mouse icon is a two headed arrow with a verticle bar in the center -- you must be over the headers) -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Wibs" wrote in message ... Resizing cells when importing data from the clipboard
Hi Tom, I am currently doing just what you suggested, but re-reading my post perhaps I did not make myself clear. What I want is to configure Excel so that it resizes its cells Automatically when data is pasted in from the clipboard. Is this possible?
