Default Resizing cells when importing data from the clipboard

Hi,

It is a litle wearisome when copying data from a web table or word
table via the clipboard into Excel to then have to resize every column
to make the data fit the cells.

Is there a way to force Excel to resize columns to the width of the
widest data?

TIA

Wibs

Default Resizing cells when importing data from the clipboard

select the columns and do Format=Columns=Auto Fit Selection

or after selection double click on the border in the header (when your mouse
icon is a two headed arrow with a verticle bar in the center -- you must be
over the headers)

Default Resizing cells when importing data from the clipboard

Hi Tom,

I am currently doing just what you suggested, but re-reading my post
perhaps I did not make myself clear. What I want is to configure Excel
so that it resizes its cells Automatically when data is pasted in from
the clipboard.

Is this possible?

Regards

Wibs
