Default allowing users to change their row ONLY

I'm hoping to set up a master spreadsheet for a soccer team that would
allow players to input daily training on their individual rows. They
would be locked out of inputting data on anyone elses row. This way,
the coach would only have to look at the master spreadsheet set up on
the club web site to see who is following the schedule. Is this
possible. Thanks.

Maybe...

If the coach and all the users are using xl2002+, you can protect ranges and
make a potential editor provide a password to edit that range.

Tools|Protection|allow users to edit ranges.

The worksheet needs to be protected for this to have any effect.

But worksheet protection isn't made for security purposes. It's easily broken.
So if that's a problem, maybe just providing a dedicated workbook to each player
would be better.
