Default HELP WTD: Opening an excel file

When I try and open an excel file I get the following message:

C:\progra~1\excelr~1\xr32demo.xlf could not be found.Check the spelling

of the filename and verify that the file location is correct.

I think excel is looking for a program that does not exist on my pc to
try and open the file?

CAn anyone solve this for me please?

Open excel (ignore the error).

Then look at tools|addins
Make a note of all that are checked.
Uncheck them all.

Then recheck each. If one of them causes the same error, you should be prompted
with a choice to remove it from the list.

Maybe it'll work.
