You can't use names, or cell references in a calculated field.

Default Calculated field in pivot tables

Hi Debra,
is it possible to create calculated field based on the following scenario:

- when 2 systems holding same tybe of data with different rules (e.g -
Customer name, balance, accounts etc) I am trying to do variance analysis
between system a and system b.
I created data tab containing both systems data and created a field called
source lebelling them sys a and sys b. Now the pivot table lets me me analyse
by customer between two systems side by side (balance, accounts etc). Now i
wish add in calcualed fields within the pivot where i can see the balance
difference, account difference etc) from one system to another.

Currently i have the these calculation sitting next to pivot which works but
not very dynamic as when the pivot table refreshes i have to go and update
formula.

Can this be done within the pivot so it becomes more efficient?

many thanks
