Default Excel is very slow to open

I recently installed Service pack 2 for Office 2003 and now my Excel
documents take much longer to open. Can anyone help me correct this problem.

Default Excel is very slow to open

Try closing excel and cleaning up your windows temp folder--it might help and it
can't hurt.

windows start button|Run
%temp%
is a quick way to get there.

And here are a couple of sites that discuss slow performance. The first is by
