Using Excel 2002 & 2003

I have a cell that calculates income. I have a range of cells that
contain expenses.
As I enter the expenses, excel subtracts the expenses from the
sub-total gross.

D32 contains this formula -
=SUM(D14-D17-D18-D19-D20-D21-D22-D23-D24-D25-D26-D27-D28-D29-D30)

Is there a better way to create this formula?
D14 is my gross income, D17-D30 are my expenses.

Thanx
