Default Help please! Lookup/Index query.

Good Morning

I am trying to run a formula, that will look at the data I have in
spreadsheet 1 and try and match in spreadsheet 2. One it does, it will
transpose data from Spreadsheet 2 column A into Spreadsheet 1 column C.
The difficulty I am having is in matching, there is a slight difference in
how the data is referenced in column B of each spreadsheet, but column B is
the column I need to use for the matching.
I have put some sample data below, does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.

Spreadsheet 1
A B
C
1 110653005AAB 5 ST HOWARDS HOUSE LR HARDING ST
2 110653006AAA 6 ST HOWARDS HOUSE LR HARDING ST
3 110653007AAC 7 ST HOWARDS HOUSE LR HARDING ST

Spreadsheet 2

A B
C
1 15049840 Flat 5 St Howards House
2 15049841 Flat 6 St Howards House
3 15049842 Flat 7 St Howards House

Hi, I tihnk I had a similar problem, it was answered in a previous post

http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?t=362019

It's right down at the bottom of the thread. Basically the asnwer was
to use wildcards in your If statement:

" Try using wildcards...

=COUNTIF(A:A,"*"&B2&"*") "
