Default recycle bin

When I delete a file its not going to the recycle bin, although the settings
in the recycle bin are set that way. please advise

Good evening jelli

How are you deleting the files - thru Windows (in which case it's a
problem) or using VBA in Excel (where it's not).

If the latter, then the Kill command (which you are presumably using)
doesn't do niceties like sending the file to the recycle bin - it
deletes them properly.
